Brittany I just want to say that I hope it's okay that I stalk your blog...Your blog is the complete opposite of the "stuff blogs". Your blog is very uplifting and that's why I look at it. I agree completely with you though. I don't like the "stuff" blogs either because that isn't what's important. Thanks for telling the truth on your blog. I think we should all be a little more "real" on our blogs!

Angela- Thank you for the blog suggestions! I'm definitely going to check them out. And I agree, the thoughts that come into my mind are entirely my responsibility, and material things are not bad at all, they are definitely a blessing. I just need to remind myself to be happy with the material things that I already am blessed with! Thank you for your comment!

Steph- Thank you so much! You are so sweet. I really like to read those types of blogs as well, the ones about family, food, adventures, etc... I need to find more of those.

Kristin- here here.

SAS FLoral- Thank you! I'm glad you like it. I've gotten some mixed reactions about it, so I'm still trying to decide if I want to re-do it...who knows. Yes, my site is through bludomain, but the intro and splash page were created by my husband.

Libby- I do have a family blog, and you can definitely have access. I must warn you though, I'm terrible terrible at updating it.
I have to say that I think your blog is a perfect example of everyday happiness, and that is why I follow your blog!

Thanks everyone for commenting!

first of all, I didn't know you had a family blog. is it inappropriate to ask for access??

secondly, I know what you mean, but I don't necessarily agree. sometimes I think it would be nice to have a place to put all of my favorite items just so I can find them easily, and go there for visual happy reminders of beauty. granted, I don't think that enough to make my blog that place. I want my blog to be about everyday happiness. so, in the end, I guess we do agree. :)

I definitely agree. Being poor is wonderful! LOVE the new makeover by the way. Those moving pictures are SO fun! And I like the video too. Is your site through bludomain?

Also, I agree with you in the disussion over at A Little Sussy. Interesting for sure!

I agree with you. I like blogs where people talk about what they think and feel, not what they want to buy.

Wow, your picture makes a long boring drive look really fun! I definitely know what you mean about some people focusing on the material rather than the physical and spiritual. I think that's why I like your blog so much. It definitely doesn't do that "stuff". I always feel like you can make fruit inspiring and you focus on the people and their lives more than what they have. Each wedding is beautiful because of the energy you capture, not because of the dress or the shoes or the expensive flowers or the reception hall. I always feel fresh and bright when I see your pictures and I think that's the way you live your life too. I always prefer to read blogs where the people live life for what it is and not for the "wish lists". Family, food, friends, adventures and love are what really makes my life go 'round :)

I love little blogs like this: http://youareremarkable.wordpress.com/ that are just devoted to happy thoughts. Five Rules for Life: http://fiverulesforlife.blogspot.com/ is pretty adorable too. And reminds you of the important things in life.

I also get hooked on blogs like http://www.hope4peyton.org/ where I can devote some good thoughts and prayers to and have myself an inspired cry every once in awhile. That one is particularly lovely.

Other than that I just try to keep an open mind. A lot of the time it's my fault as the reader for not having control over my mind.. even photography blogs I look at and say 'gosh I wish I had a DSLR so I could really get the images I wanted' or 'I wish I could afford to always do film' or 'I wish I had beautiful clients like that at my ready'. LOL I'm terrible! But that shouldn't stop people from realizing all the good they have and being grateful for material things too. God has given us so much!

On the other hand... I do love photography blogs (I follow over 30) for inspiration, creativity, sheer beauty, talent, beautiful REAL people, etc. Yours is always wonderful. :)
