Stratton Family Picnic

Stratton Family Picnic

Stratton Family Picnic

i was stewing all week, once i heard about jonathan canlas’s scholarship to his “film is not dead” workshop, whether or not to attempt to shoot a roll of film and enter a photo in. we have been out of town for basically a month and i really just didn’t have any time! i couldn’t stop thinking about it today and decided i just had to enter. i grabbed my old 35 mm camera and some 400 kodak film i hadn’t used from my trip to bermuda 4 years ago…voila! my first time shooting with film in forever and first time shooting in film whilst kind of knowing what i was doing (i learned and practiced photography during the digital era).

anyway, i have to submit one photo that represents the behive state (i went with “family” obviously) by midnight tonight and i can’t decide! if you are out there, please help! if not…i’ll have to figure it out on my own i guess.

even if my photo isn’t picked…i think this little experiment has encouraged my fancy with film.

night everyone!

I love the top one, but there is just something about that sweet baby’s face in the second one! Maybe that doesn’t help much, but those two get my vote :)

I love the picture of them staring down at the baby!

My favorite is the second one. I hope you win!
