my favorite times of day are the beginnings and the endings.
each beginning is sweet, fresh, and crisp. i wake up next to my hunk of a husband. seriously, the man is so good looking, especially with his messy, chaotic slept on hair. gosh, i love his hair. sometimes my daughter even lets me snuggle with her (one of the most lovely experiences ever), she usually has a pretty large personal bubble. it’s very funny. with each beginning i’m excited, and have simple expectations of my day.
endings are just as nice as beginnings. there is a soft haziness that accompanies each evening, a haziness that, i think, comes from being utterly exhausted. i’m surrounded by my little family; we play, laugh, read, work and pray. ella goes to bed and is soon followed by mommy and daddy. as we fall asleep, i get to wrap my arms and legs around my husband again. he falls asleep much quicker than i do, which allows me to watch him breathe. i’m so grateful for this man lying next to me.
i love my beginnings and endings.
