thanksgiving point bridal fair

most of my Christmas holiday break was spent on this little project. it was so much work, but so worth it. thank you to everyone who helped me out…seriously, it wouldn’t have happened without them!

i met so many neat people and had such a great experience…minus the killer sore throat i had after! one of my favorite things about the bridal fair, was seeing all of my images in beautiful large prints. wow. makes me jealous. i really wish i could snap a few photos of my family, blow them up, and hang them on my wall! someday…

one of my other favorite things about the fair was the awesome promo i designed. i’ll give you a peek inside a bit later. the front of the promo is in the top left corner image. it was so cool, and makes me think that maybe i missed my calling, maybe i should have been a graphic designer…j/k.

anyway, this week has been a sad and difficult week in our home. my husband and daughter have been very sick, and i have been spending all of my energy taking care of them, especially little ella. hopefully they will be getting better soon, so i can put more efforts towards work! (I have plenty to blog!)

thank you everyone for all of your support!

wedding invites, the sugar queen, being responsible, and a valuable lesson…i think.

Utah Wedding Photographer- Engagement print exampleshad fun this evening working with this bride and groom on their invites…

and now, i really need some beauty sleep…seriously, i stayed up half the night reading the sugar queen. i probably would have stayed up later and finished it, but at 3:45 in the morning, my husband startled me by saying, “britt, turn off the light and go to sleep.” at first i didn’t know if he was actually awake, because the other night, he reached over to his alarm clock at around one in the morning, turned on his noisy radio, and told me he was “turning off the natural gas.” i asked him again what he was doing, and he replied with the same answer, “i’m turning off the natural gas.”

unfortunately, he really was awake this time, and i was breaking my own “no reading past midnight” rule. i seriously need to grow up. wasn’t i supposed to go through the reading under my sheets with a flashlight phase when i was like 13?

anyway, i have learned a valuable lesson from this…at least i think i have…maybe i will tell you the valuable lesson that i think i have learned in the morning, after i get some sleep.

night!

p.s. i finished the book this morning while eating a bowl of cheerios. a delightful book written by sarah addison allen. you must read it.

what can i write? what can i write? must i write something to go along with these fabulous photos? because they seriously speak for themselves…

aly and donny will be getting married in november, and i am the incredibly lucky photographer who gets to document their day!

marriage, falling in love, sock monkeys, and a preview.

being married is falling in love each day with the same person.

this morning, my husband, in a white collared shirt and a green paisley tie, stretched out next to me on our large ottoman while i was feeding ella. we talked of very important things and other things that were not so important. we played with ella’s bare feet and wiggly toes and tickled her with her stuffed sock monkey’s red hair. brandon gave me a quick kiss on my mouth before he headed to the kitchen table to study.

these are the moments i fall in love all over again.

photo above is sneak peek engagement of the gorgeous aly and donny, who will be married in november.

these have been a long time coming…sorry bout that. katie and mike’s engagement session was so much fun. we met at the gateway mall in slc and hit the shops. my favorite part of this session had to be the end though, when they jumped in the water fountain in their dress clothing, and got completely soaked! it looked like so much fun, and i’m totally wanting to do this again!

funny story, the cabin we stayed at for our family reunion this last week, happened to be katie’s family’s cabin! my mother-in-law happens to be really good friends with katie’s grandma…and we had no idea!

anyway, i’ll be back with more posts. i have lots to catch up on!
