have a great friday!

have a great friday!

today, actually this week, has been a busy one. though aren’t busy weeks the best? they just fly by and you feel great because you are busy! however, busyness often catches up to you in the form of a bad stomach ache, a head ache, or a sore throat. i think the busyness has caught up to me in all three forms; hopefully a lot of sleep be the cure! (is busyness a word? if not, it really should be.)
with all of the craziness that is going on with me, a list of loves would be the cherry on top, so here goes…
1. peanut butter m&m’s. i actually don’t really love these, but i’ve been eating a few over the last couple of days. (please hide those from me, brandon.)
2. circle of magic books by tamora pierce. i just finished the first and will be moving onto the second book soon.
3. bridal showers. we had a bridal shower for my cousin last week and it was so much fun!
4. milk. i love milk. and now that ella is on cows milk i feel like i can justify buying more of it.
5. clean cream bed sheets. i love climbing into bed when we’ve just put clean sheets on.

woke up this morning, attempted to feed ella (we’re currently trying to get her to enjoy her sippy cup), read a little, and then prepared one of my favorite breakfasts/treats ever; peaches soaked in milk.
i quickly peeled the fuzzy skin off, cut into the plump ripe fruit, pitted it, and then sliced it into smaller pieces. i placed the peaches into a beautiful white bowl and poured a little cold milk on top. yum….the smell alone made my head feel lighter. peaches are memory food, and no, i’m not saying they are good for your brain, or keep you “mind young,” i’m saying, they have a way of bringing back other delicious peach memories. that’s right. when i eat a peach, i remember other peach eating occasions.
i took a bite of the fruit; it tasted sweet, orangy, peachy, and pinky…is that possible? it also tasted a bit like…hairspray? no, that couldn’t be right. i tasted it again; sweet, orangy, peachyuhh….hairspay. hairspray again.
i walked over to my husband and asked him to take a bite. he gave me a guilty look and told me he had already had one (sneaky boy). i told him what i was tasting and he looked at me like i was crazy, he thought the peaches tasted delicious! i tried them again. yuck!
brandon finished my peaches…i ate a bowl of cheerios. my tasters are off and cheerios are my fall back.
