we (my sister, husband, daughter, and i) did a very impromptu shoot a couple of weeks ago.  i took advantage of the fact that i had a breathtakingly beautiful sister who happened to be getting married… why not take advantage? anyway, i lucked out. i love the photos from this session and am excited to share them with you.

busy busy week…might be one of the busiest weeks ever.

sister is getting married. another bridal session. husbands birthday. hair appointment. assisting another photographer for a wedding. being a mom (most important). keeping house clean. editing photos.

wish me good luck!

Kira Wedding

i had such a lovely time shooting kira and nathan’s wedding. we started out at the draper temple, which is beautiful by the way; then headed to the joseph smith memorial building for a dinner party. i’ve so enjoyed the time i’ve been able to spend getting to know kira and nathan. congratulations you two! p.s. i had so many favorite photos from this wedding, it took me forever to narrow them down. hope you love these as much as i do!

i also took their engagements and bridals.

sneak peek

Mortgensen Family

i had such a sweet time photographing this little baby and his family.  more to come later!

i don’t know if i ever mentioned it, but i updated my website (awhile ago). it has a new look…and that is because my husband didn’t have time to keep updating my site for me…sad but it has allowed him to focus more on family, work, and school. anyway, i put this one together almost all by myself and am happy with the results.

take a look and let me know what you think!

bed head

Ella bed head

check out miss ella’s bed head. isn’t it great? we got her out of bed yesterday and her hair was sticking straight up to the sky. we thought it was so fantastic that we needed a picture of it. she was pretty shy about it at first, but then she decided to give me a nice toothy grin. thanks elle belle, this one’s going in the book!

this morning we got up early and read, ate pancakes with buttermilk syrup, and listened to brandon practice his cello. now it’s time to go running! lots to do today, see you later!

loves

lemons

1. blue skies with puffy white clouds.

2. little snuggles from my ella.

3. a really good book. just finished “house of many ways” by diana wynne jones. “howls moving castle” is one of my favorite books ever!

4. family.

5. green beans.

6. cool summer showers.

7. smoothies.

8. air conditioning.

9. seeing ella dance whenever music comes on, or when people start chanting her name. so cute. so funny.

10. lemons. how pretty.

happy weekend!
