camera shy, breakfast, curious george, alphabet books, and a happy morning!

ella’s going through a camera shy phase… whenever i pull out my camera, she either runs towards me and wraps her arms around me refusing to let go, puts stuff in front of her face (photo on the left), or ignores me completely. these are the best i could get…cute bed head though huh?

our morning included a sippy cup of milk (for ella), scrambled eggs and toast, a bowl of cereal, curious george, and alphabet books. e knows the letter “a” and “b” (most of the time). happy morning!

hey brit, what website platform do you use?

list of loves…

loving:

walks with ella at the park. we do still have to bundle up, but warmer weather is on it’s way! i hope…

homemade bread with homemade jam.

how ella says “please.” bad thing is, i feel like i have to give into everything she says “please” for. oy.

those cream filled easter eggs…holy cats those are so good.

bathrooms.  soap, towels, new shower curtain, lotion, etc…

it’s been…a very long while.

my husband came home from school today and said, “hun, did you know that it’s been two weeks since you’ve blogged?”

truth is, i did not know it had been that long, but i did know that i was slacking. my apologies. and i also hope you will forgive the pictureless post. it’s hard for me to post without a picture. silly, i know.

anyway, things have been pretty good around here. my daughter finished her antibiotics and hopefully her next ear infection will be a ways away. don’t think that i am negative for saying there will be another ear infection, because i am just being realistic. ear infections are genetic, and my husband had terrible ear infections all the time while growing up. unfortunately, i’m pretty sure e will have her share.

i also have been feeling much better. i’ve had a couple of stomach bugs plus other things, but am on the mend, which is great, because i am shooting another beautiful wedding tomorrow. very excited.

some other exciting news (at least for our family) is that my husband has decided what he wants to emphasize his studies in (did that sound right?) b. is a chemical engineer major and will be focusing on biomedical engineering. i don’t really know what exactly that entails, but it is so fun to watch his face light up when he talks about it (or the many “its” that i don’t understand at all). we still have a while before graduation, but he will be finishing with his masters! you go babe!

well, i hope this post wasn’t too dull…i will be back with more consistent awesome posts.

truly,

brittany

Definitely not dull :) It all sounds like good stuff! Congrats to Brandon for narrowing down his emphasis! Jon should be finishing his master’s in Fall 2011 (crossing our fingers) Yay for husbands being done with school!

I hate it when babies have ear infections. Ella must have passed hers onto Spencer. He was up all night crying. So sad. Just hang in there till they can put tubes in her ears. And tell them to take everything at once, put in tubes, take out the adnoids, and the tonsils. Dallin and Eliza are different kids ever since, and I’m with you I think it is hereditary. So do you have an idea when Brandon is going to graduate. It’s a lot of hard work but so worth it, as long as he can find a job in his degree at the end. Please let Brandon know that I am worried about him, because if your face lights up when you talk about all that math and science junk something might be a little off. So just keep your on on him. Glad things are going well for you and everyone is feeling better. Have you ever tried garlic oil in the ear canal for ear infections? I know it sounds wierd but it really works!

kylie’s bridals, a cabin i want to live in, and a quick stop at riverwoods.

wahoo! i’ve been so excited to post these beautiful bridals of kylie.

we had so much fun, despite the freezing cold temperatures, shooting in the canyon. we shot at a friend’s cabin, and i have to say, it was my favorite location ever. i wish i could take my little family and move right in, or somehow magically find a cabin just like it to move into. it was lovely, and worked perfectly for kylie and zach.

kylie and zach were so easy to take pictures of. mostly they were just so in love and had so much fun just being around each other, it just made my job a breeze.

i’m so excited to be shooting this couple’s wedding later this month! enjoy!

I want to live there. Does that cabin belong to someone in our parents ward? I think there last name starts with a C. You have to tell me if I’m right? Kylie is so pretty and I love her dress.

Wow. Just found your blog…what amazing photography! Then I saw this post & I was so surprised b/c I used to work with Kylie and Zach and had no idea they were getting married. How cute! Congrats to them! And again, your images are beautiful – thanks for the inspiration.

BEAUTIFUL! I love that cabin! Her dress is amazing :)

two weddings, two days in a row = fun and crazy.

my two weddings two days in a row…i will never book two weddings in a row like that again. don’t get me wrong, i had so much fun shooting these beautiful weddings, but i missed my little girl so much, and am lacking energy big time. (which is unfortunate, considering my girl is sick….again.)

one thing that i can’t get over while shooting weddings, is how nice it is to see these couples interact with one another. it’s so beautiful to be able to see and capture a bride and groom on their wedding day. they’re so sweet, kind, and giving. i feel that i’m lucky enough to be able to say that my husband and i are still that way.

i look forward to posting these weddings…it’ll probably be a bit of a long time coming though! i have many other photos to blog first.

happy monday!

Wow, that does sound crazy! But I agree with you, going to weddings is so much fun and seeing how sweet the couple is. It’s a good motivator to keep that with you no matter where you are in life and your marriage. Jon and I have been together 6 years/married for 4 and we’re definitely the most sappy still of all our married friends. We’re always hugging and holding hands and giving little kisses here and there. It’s nice to feel like you’re still in love even after the wedding day!
